Greetings and welcome to our new venture Rocco Bar Trattoria, formerly
La Toscana Ristorante. We have presented Newcastle with authentic
Italian cuisine since 1973.
We strive to give our customers a luxurious
dining experience, founded upon the cooking traditions of Italian food,
and also offer an extensive selection of international wines which
compliment the recipes passed down through generations.
Our tried and
tested methods of preparation and service have placed us at the heart
of Italian dining in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. Salvatore
Pascale, the restaurant owner, was born in the Southern Italy
Basilicata Region and has worked at this establishment for 30 years.
Together
we offer our customers a relaxing and friendly atmosphere in a
beautiful building that recreates the old world of Italian dining
experience. With a wide range of dishes and an open-minded menu we are
sure we can satisfy your culinary desires. If you do not see what you
wish for on the menu or have any particular fancies please, do not
hesitate to inform our staff.
We cater for private functions,
wedding parties, hen and stag night, birthday parties and special
buffets, with a menu of your choice. For those of you unable to attend
our restaurant but still wish to sample our excellent cuisine we have a
take-away and home delivery service, for business meeting we have our
outside catering menu . It is possible to purchase wines at retail
prices as well as a variety of excellent extra virgin olive oils inside
the restaurant. Should you wish to purchase any of our other produce or
ingredients we will endeavour to provide those too, at a very
reasonable cost.
